National Crime Prevention

National Youth Crime Prevention

National Crime Prevention is currently in our 18th year of publishing with a further three editions of our sister publication, National Youth Crime Prevention available. In that time have covered a wide variety of topics from White Collar crime and Money Laundering to Home Intrusion, Car Theft and Neighbourhood Watch. We have also examined the world of digital crime with articles such as Internet Scams, Malware, Facial Recognition Systems, Predictive Policing and Hacktivism to mane a few. National Crime Prevention has also looked at issues in the home with articles on Domestic Violence and Abusive Relationships. In our time we have produced several special feature editions focusing on public interest issues such as the solving of The Somerton Man case, the Disappearance of The Beaumont Children and The Melbourne Gangland Killings. We have also looked at Australian Serial Killers and life in the Prison System.

National Youth Crime Prevention, in its third year of publication, focuses in issues relating to youth crime with articles on Graffiti, Vandalism and Antisocial Behaviour. We have also examined some of the issues leading to youth crime including Youth Homelessness, Youth Substance Abuse and Domestic Violence Effects on Children. The youth of today face not only the same challenges as previous generations, family and health issues, navigating teenage years and peer pressure, the education system etc, but they also now have to deal with rapidly advancing technology and all the associated problems, such as social media. Crime amongst our juvenile population, it’s causes and how to manage it, is a growing concern. We’ve put together this edition containing helpful information for parents and our general community, and highlighting some of the problems our children are facing in our world today.

We have tried to offer a balanced and entertaining viewpoint throughout our editions and hope that people have found our articles informative. In the future we intend to continue bringing readers an ever expanding range of topics on everyday crime and crime prevention. National Crime Prevention magazine presents the facts about crime and preventing crime in a way that you and your family can understand. We hope to offer both informative and entertaining articles that may give some insights into the more "everyday" crimes that occur in our community and what steps you can take to avoid becoming a victim. You can view our previous editions below and we hope you enjoy reading them.
